Learn How To Spray Paint Your Car

If you actually think that you want to paint an auto then stand by for a full task ahead of you. It does not mean that you can not or shouldn't do it, it just means ensure you are ready to see the job done from beginning to end. If you do not finish the job totally or correctly then you're going to be driving something that could be a little humiliating to the eye at least.

There are things that you're going to require by way of supplies.

The quantity of primer and urethane based paint you want will rely on the dimensions of your automobile. Whether you need to use a paint sprayer is up to you, if you select not to then the regular spray paint cans will do fine. Ensure you wear suitable clothing when you go to paint an automobile so your skin isn't exposed.
Ultimately ensure you have the proper space to work in. You want to be ready to work around your automobile. First you have to truly wash your auto well. It doesn't matter how clean it may look to you unless you washed it, there will be some debris on it that you must remove, otherwise the paint won't stick correctly. Then when you have it washed nice and clean you have got to get all the old wax off it so that is where the wax/greaser remover comes in.
You may probably notice that you have some rough spots on your current finish. If you go to paint an automobile that's in this condition, you won't get good coverage with the new paint. Put small pit marks due to stones or that kind of thing just employ a small putty to fill them in. The use the sandpaper to gently smooth the coarse spots and little holes. Ensure you wipe off all of the waste from sanding.
In order to paint an automobile, you have to be completely sure that it is dry after your washing. Ensure it doesn't get dirty again. Next masking tape off the areas that you do not want to get paint on.
Totally prime the auto. Then sand it gently one again.
Now you are ready to apply the base coat of the new color. Ideally with a spray gun. Fully spray it then let it dry for roughly fifteen mins. Then you can apply the second coat. Most often you can get away with 2 coats.

Let dry 15 minutes then reapply. You may probably need about three coats of the clear to get a good finish.
