Maruti to have 1,500 new service stations by 2015
Maruti Suzuki is the colossal car manufacturer of India. Maruti has ruled the market from the small hatchback cars to sedans in India, by capturing 45% of the Indian Market. In the league of establishing itself and gaining the customers satisfaction, Maruti is planning new 1,500 service stations across India by 2015. Maruti's expansion will help them to increase the production volumes more than 17 lacs cars per annum. The expansion will result in the increment in the service sector by having almost 22,000 employment options in the service sector. The market arena is going strong for Maruti and as is predicted, there will be great demand for Maruti cars in the future. Pankaj Narula, the Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), Executive Officer (Service), said that, Maruti will have great demand for service with the increase in the capacity of Maruti Suzuki India to 1.7 million. There are 2,784 Maruti Service outlets and it is expected that the company will increase its service station by 50 per cent which will be 4,200 in the coming five years. Maruti Suzuki India, declared last month that it will invest almost Rs 1,925 crore to come up with the third plant with the capacity of 2.5 lacs at the Manesar outlet. Presently, the company is putting up Rs 1,700 crore in Manesar, the second plant, which has a capacity of 2.5 lacs units annually. With this massive investment, the company will produce 17.5 lacs cars in its plant which is soon to be completed. The service stations currently caters to 11.8 lacs cars in a month which is predicted to cross 14.5 -15 lacs cars till 2015. With this mammoth planning and accelerating growth of Maruti Suzuki India, it will soon open new service outlets in more than 1,300 cities and in other small towns across India. The company aims to have a service station in every 25 km in India. With increase in size of the company, the man power resource will also grow from 33,000 to 55,000 in the service stations. Amount of Rs 250 crore is required to establish 1,500 new service outlets. As per Mr. Narula, a facility of 10 bays will need an investment of Rs. 70 lacs to Rs. 75 lacs excluding the cost of building and land. With the non dealer of Maruti Authorized Service Station (MASS) with 5 bays will require Rs 12 to Rs 15 lacs. This estimation also excludes the land and building cost. With the vision of setting up new service station, Maruti Suzuki India will surely increase the brand value in India.

R. W. Lindholm Service Station $68.51 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The R.W. Lindholm Service Station in Cloquet, Minnesota, USA, is derived from a design by famous American architect Frank Lloyd Wright as part of his Broadacre City project, a Utopian vision of a new type of urban landscape. It is the only gas station designed by Wright. Built in 1956, its design is derived from the Broadacre Standardized Overhead Service Station which was designed as part of the Broadacre City project in the 1930s. The idea was essentially totally decentralized American urban landscape. The plan was never implemented anywhere, but it did foreshadow the decentralization that occurred after World War II. Studding the landscape of Broadacre were Usonian houses, solitary skyscrapers, and a wide variety of buildings needed to service the community. Wright and his apprentices designed and included many of these in Broadacre City models that toured the country. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Timpledon, Miriam T./ Marseken, Susan F.
