CLEVELAND – August 2010 – The Model 5H oil skimmer from Oil Skimmers, Inc., the leading manufacturer of oil skimming equipment and solutions, is a reliable option when oil must be removed from small or hard-to-reach areas. Designed for congested plant facilities or confined spaces, the Model 5H can be installed on open or closed tanks. This unit is fully automatic and can run 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

The Model 5H removes oil using a specially formulated collector tube that floats on the surface of water, coolant, or other liquids. Oil adheres to the outside of the closed-loop tube, which is drawn up into the skimmer, through scrapers that remove the oil, and is then returned to the surface of the liquid. Recovered oil flows into a collection container. The collector tube has the ability to float over and around any debris that may be present in the liquid, and also automatically adjusts to changing liquid levels.
